The MAB 825 KTS magnetic mill drill (Winner of the Red Dot Award) is an innovation in magnetic drilling, featuring multi-axis positioning, allowing the drill to be adjusted up to 4-3/4” forward/backward (X-axis) up to 4-3/8” left/right (Y-axis), 10" up/down (Z-axis) after the magnet is adhered to the surface. Each axis can be independently locked in place for consistent and acurrate machining. This versatile mill drill is ideal for job site milling, drilling, boring and slotting applications. With infinitely variable torque control and full-wave electronics, this innovative mill drill cuts holes up to 3-1/8” dia. with annular cutters in structural steel and other metals. The servo-assisted drilling feature helps maintain feed pressure during operation. Additional capabilities include twist drilling up to 1-1/4” dia. and tapping up to 1-3/16” diameter. A stroke length of 10” makes the MAB 825 KTS ideal for steel engineering, plant construction and more. The 16 Amp, double-insulated, reversible motor has a 4-speed oil bath gearbox (40-110, 65-175, 140-360, 220-600 RPM) for applications requiring high power. Included with the unit is a ZSF 316 MT3 collet tool holder for using end mills and other tooling from 1/8" to 5/8" (3 to 16mm) diameter during milling operation. This unit also includes: a quick-change keyless cutter system for 3/4” Weldon Shanks (saving time and money), an arbor for 1-1/4” Weldon shanks, as well as a MT3 spindle for easy changeover to differen cutting tool holders and cutting tools. Safety features in the MAB 825 KTS include an Electronic Safety Shutoff Sensor to automatically shut down the drill motor if the magnet loses contact with the material. The magnet has a holding force of 6,600 lbs.
